Selection Process

  • Submission Deadline: All applications are due JANUARY 25, 2019 at 5PM. All required materials must also be submitted by the submission deadline in order to receive full consideration.
     
  • Review Committee: Proposals will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary committee of staff and faculty from the College of Arts & Letters and other relevant units on campus such as the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies.

  • Review Criteria: The review committee will utilize the SLA Grant Evaluation Rubric to evaluate individual proposals. Please take a moment to review these criteria as you develop your proposal.
     
  • Award Announcements: Awards will be announced by Friday, March 8, 2019.
     
  • Graduate Applicant Selection: Graduate applicants complete a separate application from their undergraduate counterparts and are evaluated as such.
