The SLA Grant program was created in 2009 to help students attain advanced levels of foreign language proficiency. The SLA Grant requires specific thresholds of language study before and during the study abroad program in order to facilitate maximum linguistic gains. Grant recipients must complete several tasks before, during, and after their program of study so that they can share their experiences and knowledge with the ND community. In addition to language gains, students may expect to increase their intercultural sensitivity and global competence with the support and guided reflective experience of the CSLC staff.
