Steps to Apply

India

Application Steps:

  1. Research Language Programs
Applicants may propose any foreign language study abroad program that is rigorous, reputable, and has been chosen with the help of a Notre Dame SLA Program Faculty Advisor (see step 2 below). Programs should be 6-8 weeks / 15-20 hours of foreign language instruction per week (90-120 hours total). You may wish to review our Suggested Programs to get started on your program research and selection process.

  2. Meet with an SLA Program Faculty Advisor Regarding Potential Program
Applicants must reach out to their foreign language program's SLA Program Faculty Advisors to discuss linguistic aims for the summer and considerations of the program. Applications that have not been discussed with a Program Faculty Advisor will not be considered. You can find a List of Program Faculty Advisors here.

  3. Submit Your Application
Applications may be submitted under the Application tab. We strongly encourage students to dedicate time to review their application components thoroughly since only one submission will be accepted.
